Kenmar is a new company based in Mattawa, Ontario that was formed by Ken Loya Sr. to produce and market a unique hunting accessory.

In the summer of 2005, Ken Loya came up with an idea for a hunting accessory that would help every hunter to improve his or her shooting accuracy while using a rifle, shotgun or crossbow. Discussions regarding the idea with his friend led to the manufacture of the KenMar Arm Support System prototype and, after some improvements and tweaking, they were certain they had come up with an exceptional and very useful hunting accessory.

The next step was to field test it. Ken Loya Jr. agreed to try out the KenMar Arm Support System during bear season and so in September of 2005, while using the arm support, he killed a bear that just happened to be the biggest bear in Ontario using a crossbow! check this site out for details... www.frow-biggamerecords.com. Further testing came in December 2005 when North Bay OPP officers used the arm rest while practicing and confirmed that it did improve their accuracy.

Realizing that this tool had a lot of potential, a neighbor’s garage was converted into a manufacturing facility and production started of the KenMar Arm Support System.

At the same time, the services of a patent lawyer from Ottawa were retained to explore its marketing potential. Authorization from the patent lawyer to begin promotion of the KenMar Arm Support System was received in January 2006. Ken Loya Sr went on the road selling units to small stores in various communities of the area. Together with the selling of the article surveys were completed and results from these showed a lot of promise.

Marketing research was done and the opinion of Managers from major department stores in the North Bay area was obtained to establish that the KenMar Arm Support System was a product that could be sold in their stores and to ensure that the packaging and prices (retail and whole sale) were appropriate. All comments were very positive.

Tradeshows, in Ottawa and Toronto, demonstrated that the consumer’s way of thinking towards the KenMar Arm Support System was extremely positive.

A new manufacturing plant was erected and is presently under full operation. The new plant is capable of handling large quantities of sales. Kenmar has several other new products being developed that will be put on the market within the next few years.
